Quakers and their practices

Even in early Quaker history, business meeting were
being conducted regularly, probably even more so
than they are now. In the time that this artwork was
done, more time was most likely spent conducting
Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business,
and was a governing pillar that was centralized
to villages and communities. I'm sure that the
meetings were even longer than they are now,
and to say that we think that they are sometimes
really drawn out these days!

Hello Bloggers

The President is going to Talk About encouraged spirituality

"The Bhagavad-Gita has a profound influence on the spirit of mankind by its devotion to God which is manifested by actions." - Dr. Albert Schweizer "The Bhagavad-Gita is the most systematic statement of spiritual evolution of endowing value to mankind. It is one of the most clear and comprehensive summaries of perennial philosophy ever revealed; hence its enduring value is subject not only to India but to all of humanity." - Aldous Huxley

I also found the Bhagavad-Gita to be relevant, both as a Quaker and a student of philosophy. You might like to read my post on the subject.
